Major FR/EU industry players invite the Israeli startups and R&D teams to reshape the Future of Cities.
In this short video (1min 30′), hear why Christophe Lienard -Group Chief Innovation Officer at Bouygues- has initiated this project for the Israeli ecosystem, and discover the 3 tech domains that interest them to reshape the future of cities.
Are you ready to shine in Paris?
We will cover 3 Tech Domains for reaching Sustainable Cities... ...and 2 Tech Challenges per domain, are you in?
Construction challenges
1- Building Decarbonisation
We are looking for technologies and advanced materials […]
2- Construction Management
We are looking for advanced systems and digital solutions […]
– Building Decarbonisation Challenge
We are looking for technologies and advanced materials that will reduce the carbon impact of construction processes. These include new low-carbon materials and circular solutions to identify, qualify, sort, process, and transport construction waste.
(issues: introduction of recycled products and circular systems, eco- and bio-based solutions, bioclimatic design, biodiversity in building projects and indoor air quality)
– Construction Management Challenge
We are looking for advanced systems and digital solutions including AI, AR-VR, BIM, Digital Twin and Robotics that can improve the construction, materials purchasing, and maintenance of new or rehabilitated buildings.
(issues: identifying high-performance, low-cost solutions that can be scaled up for new construction and rehabilitation projects)
Energy challenges
1- Energy Infrastructure
We are looking for tech solutions that will upgrade the city […]
2- Building Energy Efficiency
We are looking for technologies that will help reduce energy consumption […]
– Energy Infrastructure Challenge
We are looking for tech solutions that will upgrade the city’s energy infrastructure, such as: local renewable production and storage, management and sharing of distributed energy, public street lighting, data collection and monitoring systems.
(issues: cybersecurity, system interoperability, management and design of energy storage systems, the large initial investment required, and protecting personal data)
– Building Energy Efficiency Challenge
We are looking for technologies that will help reduce energy consumption of buildings, such as: improved building and assets management BMS, integrating renewable energies, optimizing HVAC, BOS and BIS systems, as well as OT and IOT platforms.
(issues: cost of renovations, complexity of systems, standards and regulations, issues related to OPEX, battery swapping)
Mobility challenges
1- Smart Mobility
We are looking for technologies that will improve people and goods mobility […]
2- Mobility Infrastructure
W’ere looking for tech that will reshape urban mobility infrastructure […]
– Smart Mobility Challenge
We are looking for technologies that will improve people and goods mobility such as: the deployment of new charging solutions, the development of new modes of public transportation, soft modes of micro-mobility and last-mile delivery.
(issues: costly infrastructure, changes in user behaviour, lack of citizen acceptance, and lack of testing / POC opportunities)
– Mobility Infrastructure Challenge
We are looking for technologies that will reshape urban mobility infrastructure, such as: optimisation of traffic management including computer vision/lidar for payment and security, monitoring of vehicle fleets, and optimisation of routes and parking for both the public and private sectors.
(issues: user acceptance and impact, user privacy including GDPR limitations)
Do you have what it takes to deliver groundbreaking tech solutions to one of the 3 Tech Domains: Construction, Energy, and Mobility? We will embark with us the most relevant startups and innovative teams to Paris that fit the industry players’ needs -and accelerate pilots, projects and deals.

FAQ
Does it cost money to apply or participate?
No, there are no strings attached. Any startup or innovative team can apply without any kind of payment and participate without any kind of fees. Nevertheless, flight and accommodation are paid by the Israeli startup or team, as a proof of commitment.
Who can apply?
Any Israeli team, from a startup or an innovative project in academia or SME can apply. We need at least one Israeli co-founder co-founder, even if the incorporation is not in Israel.
Do you accept teams from the Academia?
Researchers that have developed a technology that runs as a prototype in a lab can apply to this call for proposals.
Who should travel to Paris if selected?
Since you’ll meet top executives of the multinationals, we highly suggest you to join ready to discuss strategy and tech, and not only sales. Sometimes, CEO and a tech executive is great, sometimes people in charge of France/Europe are good too (including a local partner, in additional to 1 Israeli teammate)
How the selection is done?
We have 3 different circles of screening: the Challengy team first, then the ecosystem circle (based on our partners such as IIA and PlaneTech and more) and then the multinationals’ experts.
Can we participate online?
Not in this mission. The FR multinationals are making a big effort to identify what’s count for them and select the finalists. They will be there, so if they are important for you, be there too.
How will you prepare the finalist teams?
For the finalist teams that are accepted to join the delegation, we’ll propose a bootcamp in November. Stay tuned.
What if a major information occurs after the application?
In such a case, send us the information by email to [email protected]
