Super Polymer
New crystalline polymer integrated into construction materials to reduce temperatures by 7-17°C without consuming energy
Description
The construction and building sectors are falling behind UN 2050 decarbonization goals, largely due to heating and cooling energy demands, which account for 50% of building energy use. Improving thermal insulation without energy consumption is essential.
Reducing indoor temperatures by 5°C or more can cut A/C energy use by 10-50% annually. Existing insulating materials are too expensive or in most cases, ineffective, limiting their impact. Additionally, there is no solution for population with no access to A/C.
What makes it different
Super Polymer is a powder that can be mixed with a variety of construction coatings to reduce temperatures by at least 5oC indoors. Furthermore, 80% less water is absorbed and 15-20% less raw material is saved while maintaining the same coverage.
Super Polymer is a high performance material at an affordable price. It presents a package of benefits - for the coating manufacturer to produce SP-enriched coatings, for contractors to apply them, and for homeowners to save money on their electricity bills.
